So I discovered last night, after finishing my rear brake caliper rebuild, that one of my forks had a blown seal. I decided given the timing that I wouldn't tackle that myself, so was waiting at Bobs' door when they opened to get it fixed. At the end of the day, I'm sure glad I did. Turns out they found a nail in my rear tire. I had noticed the pressure was low while working on the brakes so I'd filled it, but never saw the nail. So, not only do I now have a fixed fork, but I have a nice new rear tire for the trip.
So, now that's all taken care of, I guess I'm ready as I'll ever be to go. Departure will be as early as I can get myself out of bed in the morning and strap the gear on.
